I was on the stepper for 20 minutes and burned 146 Calories and decided to wear my husbands Fitbit Ionic Adidas addition and did the exact same workout at the exact same pace and burned 229 calories!! How is that pissible. It also differ a lot from the machine.

@ChanMyb  When you wore your husband's Ionic, did you remove it from his account, remove your Versa from your account, then add the Ionic to your account?  If not, then the calorie burn is based on his metabolic profile (male, muscle mass, etc.), not yours.  You don't say whether you did this or not.

What was the difference between your Versa and the stepper?  Does your stepper use heart rate when calculating calorie burn?

A little more information might help with giving you an answer.

Hi! No I did not do the changes on our accounts... So it works out the calories burned differently for men and women? If that is the case it makes perfect sense. And the stepper uses hartrate on the sensors in handle bars but I do not touch it the whole time. Thank you.
