Fitbit Versa Feedback

Since Fitbit is very limited on receiving direct messages, I figured it best to post feedback on their forums, because I don't want to mess around with making a Twitter account in order to direct message Fitbit, also having this as your direct messaging service needs changed.

I have been using Fitbit Versa for just over a year now, originally I was excited to get and use the smartwatch due to being able to receive notifications and quick reply to messages using only the watch.  However, when I received the watch it turned out that the quick reply messages required a specific phone operating system, which my phone at the time did not meet the requirement (this was my first issue where I had to contact Fitbit and caused major frustration).  So time passed, then I was able to buy a deal on a phone with an operating system over the requirements.  This time I was excited to finally start using the quick replies.  Well now, come to find out my new phone is not one of the Fitbit supported devices (which I had just found out there is a list of their supported devices on their website).  So now I cannot even receive notification or messages reliably on my watch.  It is either one side of the fence or the other, but I still have not got what I wanted out of this device and I have reached my limit.  Fitbit either needs to stop advertising all these perks and benefits of their devices if not all devices are compatible, or make it clear that not all devices are supported and that certain operating systems hinder certain perks.

I understand that most people use the devices that are in the supported devices list and that most people have up-to-date devices with operating systems that meet the requirement.  However, there are other people that don't care for all the extra perks of the "high tech" phones and their high prices, but still would consider using the Fitbit with their less cost smart phone.  I hope that Fitbit at least gets this feedback and considers changing some items that I have discussed.  As for me I don't plan on continued support on Fitbit devices.

For any Fitbit personal who does get this, thank you for your time in hearing my feedback.

@Thalt Welcome back to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with Versa and our Customer Service. Sorry to hear that the phone you're using isn't on the list of compatible devices.

Your feedback and comments are appreciated, we're always striving to improve our services offered and watches/trackers. If there's any phone that you would like to see on the list, you may want to post it in our Feature Suggestion board, those ideas are reviewed by our team and the status changes based in Fitbit's plans.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
