Versa itself is suppose to be water resistant up to 50 meters. You don’t have to turn on any waterproof mode, just jump in. But be advised, some did have issues with their Versa after being in the water. So test it now while still in warranty date.

Do you have to buy a warranty or does it come with the fitbit

Fitbit comes with 1 year manufacturers warranty. If anything happens to your versa while swimming then they should cover it since they claim it is water resistant and advertise to be able to use while swimming. However, the warranty does not cover scratches and cracks.

Hey Jayelo, is it normal for my watch to automatically go to 0% charge after my swim cause the has been happening when ever I swim with it.

No I don’t think that’s normal. I don’t swim with mine but I don’t see why it would go down to 0% after a swim. You may wanna contact Fitbit customer service for that issue before it pass your warranty date.

I wore my Versa and got caught in a heavy rain storm. It would not work after it dried out.  It was still under warranty so Fitbit replaced it.  I’m not going to chance it again.
