Hello:

I have had my Fitbit Versa for a few months now and love it. But it has recently started showing random heart rates when I’m not wearing it. I have tried restarting the Versa and my iPhone. As well as turning the Sync on and off and then restarting. No luck with anything. Please help!

Mine was doing this when it was new. When I took it off and placed it flat (sensor side down) on a nightstand the heart rate sensors kept flashing and a heart rate reading was being tracked. I found that if I placed on its side when I took it off the sensors switched off as they should.

Thank you! I’m going to give that a try through out the day and see how it does.

Thank you for this solution!! I was about to start a topic but this popped up when I started it (but not when I used the actual search button 😕 ). I've only been wearing it at night, for most of the week anyway and whenever I pick it up to put it on it's showing the HR in the 115 range 😕 I didn't really notice it/pay too much attention to it, as I assumed it just came on when I picked the device up to put on.. I noticed it today that it as on before I placed it on though/went to put it on. 😞

So, now I'm worried my RHR and everything is out of sync. It's already seemed about 10 points higher than the Charge HR and the Charge HR 2 was, but thought I'd live with it... so thanks for this, hopefully it fixes it all for me lol
