Fitbit Versa Won't Sync BT Headphones

Anyone else have this problem? I spoke to an agent last night and they said it is a known issue. When asked if it could take months to fix, they said they didn't know.

@hollstar1 which earbuds do you have? Do you get any error messages? Does your Versa see the buds? Have you paired the buds with other device e.g. your phone? If yes, you need to reset them and put in the pairing mode according to the manufacturer's instructions before pairing with Versa.

Yes. I have done all of these things. The head phones are called remixd and live loose. Yes the phone sees them but it stays stuck pairing.

@hollstar1 I asked if you unpaired from your phone because in most of the cases the bluetooth earbuds can be paired only to one device. I took a quick look at the manual of the Live Loose earbuds, and it says to press power button for 5 seconds (after turning ON the buds) to disconnect from the paired device. That's what I would try to do:

 

  1. Forget the buds from your phone's bluetooth settings and turn of phone's bluetooth so it doesn't interfere.
  2. Turn ON the buds and disconnect from previously paired device (press power button for 5 seconds).
  3. Turn off the buds and reboot Versa (press and hold the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes)
  4. Turn ON the buds and put Versa into pairing mode to connect the buds.
