My Fitbit Versa which I purchased in July 2018 is not charging and appears to be dead!

Hi, first of all try cleaning the contacts of your charger and Versa as dust, etc , causes bad contact. Try also using another USB port on your PC or via a suitable adapter to a wall outlet. What does the fitbit app say about your battery %? If all these suggestions do not work, try restarting your Versa 4-6 times in a row by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. If this works, put it in the charger and see if it starts charging. When not, problably you will have a dysfunctioning charger. In all other cases, contact Customer Support and ask for a battery test.

The same thing happened to me today. My screen flickered, and began no responding. I managed to restart it, but now it is completely dead. I tried recharging it, but that doesn’t work. I even checked the charger by charging my wife’s Versa on it and it worked fine. Would love to know what causes this and why can be done.
