Fitbit Versa does not charge

Hello to everyone!

I have had my Versa since April and it had been working properly until this morning. I had taken a shower with it like I have always done but it was on low battery. It did power on after placing it to charge but it turns off shortly after that. It is currently plugged in via USB slot on my computer but it seems that it is not charging.

Any help is much appreciated!

It's great to see you around @pchavez and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this. Have you tried to restart your Versa? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

If you tried to charge it right out of the shower it could have still had water in it and could damage the battery.

I would put it in Rice for a day and see it it comes back

Thank you for the advice @Wendy! I did put it to charge like half an hour after I got out. It finally turned on now but it has a blank screen now.

@AlejandraFitbit, I appreciate the recommendation!

After attempting the restart, I still kept on getting its screen lighting up blank therefore I contacted customer support. The specialist and I followed all basic troubleshooting steps but still got the same results. Fitbit has shipped a replacement Versa and it should arrive this week.

I really thank you for the tip!
