My Fitbit Versa watch screen separated from the body of the watch, noticed when I was walking.  Just happened to look down and there it was... the faceplate of my Versa watch was barely hanging on.  I hadn't bumped or mishandled it.

Rightfully, disappointed, this will be my second replacement watch.   The first Versa watch faceplate separated from the body of the watch also, for no apparent reason, I noticed the faceplate dangling while I was sitting at my computer desk.

Fitbit, replaced it immediately.  This time I was told I'd have to wait until this watch was returned before they would replace it.   Almost discouraged with the product, it hasn't been a year yet.  My first Fitbit Versa was purchased in May 2018.

However, the watch works well when the faceplate isn't dangling from the watch. The intent for this note is to help this helps someone else experiencing this problem.

Update:  Yay!  Finally, my replacement fitbit Versa arrived on January 18th.   And I'm back to tracking my steps.

@JaniceMB Thank you, Janice. I'm glad they will replace it again. It's just pretty bizarre to have two watches fail the same way. Let's hope the third one is ok. Good luck!

It appears to be a defective trend, after reading several posts within this community.

Mine recently did this and I currently have tape holding it in place.  Thanks for the update

I can now see how this would be a common issue, as it just happened to me.  The faceplate on my Versa 2 just fell off as I was walking.  I was wearing the watch as I was sweeping and noticed something on the floor.  It looks like it was just attached with a little bit of adhesive.  Unfortunately, I have owned it since September of 2018, so it is about 6 months out of warranty.  I purchased this as a replacement for my Charge 2, which lasted 14 months before the battery stopped holding a charge.

Mine separating is 86% of the physical face.. Detaching from the body but all the electronics still work upon re-seating the face into the body

I was just on the chair, moved my arm and initially thought my screen saver came off, to which I haven't used for quite some time, then I see the insides.  Oddest thing tho, no bumping, didn't get snagged, just fell off. Seems to still work, for now.

Now I wait to hear from support.
