This week my Fitbit Versa has decided to stop tracking my treadmill activity 5 minutes into my workout. Extremely frustrating! I’m having to restart the tracking every time.

This is an issue I am also having. When I am in the middle of a workout(walk, run, treadmill) the workout stops on its own. Can you please tell me if there is a fix for this or a refund available? Thank you!

After a lot of wasted time troubleshooting, I was sent a replacement. It seems fine, UNLESS one of the buttons on the right hand side get pressed. When I do things where my wrist and forearm are close, the button can get pressed accidentally, and it stops. That is a big problem, because I do a lot of circuits with seal walks, push-ups, upside down stuff....

I decided to turn off the all day sync in the Fitbit app and just manually sync it a couple times a day. I also turn off my location and only turn it on when going for a run (or for driving directions). So far, I haven't had the watch stop tracking activity during my runs. I did this a little over a couple of weeks ago. I also restarted the watch around the same time.

Stops tracking in middle of workout. Happens multiple times a week for the last several weeks.
Restarted watch last night. Today it tracked 31 minutes of cardio ok. Took a few minutes break and started weights activity. At some point under 15 minutes tracking stopped. Face showed time of day.
Last Saturday I got the 15 minute vibration, worked out 32 minutes total, at end saw tracking stopped at some point. Activity does not show in log.

Unfortunately, I don't think Fitbit is concerned about this. I certainly don't recommend this watch to anyone else who's asked about it, given what I paid for it and am getting in return. I'd suggest turning off the all-day sync (if it's on) then reboot the watch (hold left button and bottom right button at the same time, should see watch face blink then go dark for a minute or so) and see if that helps any. I have not had the issue since turning off the all day sync and doing a manual sync a couple of times a day. I also turned off Notifications - not that it stayed connected well enough to notify me. Defeats the purpose of a smartwatch...

Today my versa stopped tracking activity workout sometime after 15 minutes and before 20 minutes. I was using a VLT climber (rope pull) which is an extremely repetitive action. But what was even stranger was I got the celebration screen when I reached 30 minutes. It is now 6 hours later and active minutes reflect the lost time but the activity does not show on my dashboard.

@bballjer If you go to Today app on your Versa (swipe up on the main screen) and scroll down to Workouts, can you see this particular workout? This might have been a random glitch. Yesterday I did a lot of crosscountry skiing and my Versa shows the complete workout but it never made it to dashboard. Total stats were correct though... Keep and eye on Versa for now. You can reboot is just in case.

No it is not there. Five days a week I do 1/2 hour of workout or spinning followed by at least 30 minutes of weights. For the last month the tracking has stopped multiple times each week. When it stops the activity was not displayed on my watch or on my log.
The same thing happens to my wife but not as much as mine.

@bballjer Just out of curiosity what phone model and OS are you using? Also, which Fitbit firmware and Fitbit mobile version? Have you tried rebooting the tracker several times? If this doesn't help, you may need to perform factory reset. It will wipe all the data from your tracker though, so sync it first.
