Fitbit Versa is essentially the successor to Blaze. E.g Blaze 2 in all but name from what I read. What are the difference between the two?

When it says "Popular Apps" - does this mean it will run ios Apps? I have a Time tracker App on my Ipad that will also run on Apple Watch - it would be awesome if it would work on Fitbit

I'm pretty sure some of the info on that Blaze feature set screenshot is wrong. From my experience the Blaze does in fact have guided breathing sessions and cardio fitness score.
The main differences between the Blaze and Versa is that the Versa is water resistant to 50m and can track swimming and also the fact it runs fitbit OS (fitbits new operating system), so it will be able to run 3rd party apps and clock faces from the app gallery.
You won't be able to use iOS apps on there, unless the developer has specifically written one for Fitbit OS. You can see which apps are available here.

I think in the original post introducing the Versa one of the mods posted a side by side of the two devices.

The Versa is an updated Blaze that is smaller, thinner, and lighter, that runs the new OS which allows for the extras that come with the new OS .

I can attest to this (HSN for some reason shipped mine early and I got it yesterday). It is absolutely lighter and much more comfy to wear than the Blaze. The supplied band is a bit stiff for my taste, though. Have a new one on the way from Amazon. Overall, it looks much more pleasant than the Blaze as well.

Hi all, I hope you are doing great.
Thanks for your participation in the Forums. Regarding your inquiries about the Blaze and Versa, in this page, you will be able to compare both trackers or all the Fitbit tracker if you want and see which one you prefer. Also, you have the option to take a test to see which would be a better tracker for you.
I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else.

why was blaze removed to compare?

Just my opinion of course <because I do not know anything> but the last time I looked Blaze is no longer in Fitbits "Product" list - so I expect their plans are to discontinue the Blaze. There would be no reason to "compare" to a product no longer sold <or they won't be when inventories run out>.

@Dwb2406 The Versa is basically a Blaze with lthe updated features of the Ionic save for the built in GPS. People hve been requesting the Versa before the Ionic was released.
Now considering that the Blaze are basically the same as the Versa, as @DblGee states it has been retired .
I believe this was a decision made many months ago .

The blaze is not available on the page to compare it to anything. So how are we supposed to compare it if it's not listed? I currently have the blaze and want to know the differences between it and the Versa.

If you have a Blaze then you probably know what it has. The versa has added the new OS2 of the ionic. the Blaze did not have an OS. With the IS you get installable apps, you can write your own app .more clock faces, including user designed ones, or design your own clock. The Versa will store musocmand play it through headphones or a Bluetooth speaker
Optionally there is one Versa with Fitbit pay this is I was you to leave the credit card home.
Of course the easiest thing to do is RT*M

The versa runs fitbit OS and is swim proof. Those really are the differences between the blaze and versa. Fitbit OS allows you to run apps and has multiple clock faces.

good point. I just know the difference of the screen resolution. Blaze is 1.2 inches and Versa is 1.34. I compared the 2 in person and Blaze is more rectangular and Versa is more square. I know they discontinued selling Blaze on the fitbit official website but wish they kept it on as an option to compare side by side.
o I found this on youtube today with a decent comparison between the 2.

Big improvement on design (daaaag the versa is pretty... and superlight), added waterproof for pool swimming, updated OS, fitbit pay (on spec edition), etc
having had both, this one is SO much nicer. This one is definitely the best designed one so far

First of all, the Blaze is more beautiful and alluring than the Versa which has sporty look. It's true that the Blaze has bigger battery life, but in return, Versa has plenty of features: it's waterproof, has got bigger display resolution and size, is more flexible with music ( internal storage, works with headphones) and it also has the built-in NFC with special editions. So, my final opinion is this: Blaze is more attractive, while the Versa has advanced features and definitely is more practical.

Interesting, when the Blaze first came out, people where upset at it's looks, the gap at the top and bottom, the fact that it has to be taken out of it's frame to charge, the frame is a lot bigger than needed, the huge Fitbit name that everyone can see making the Blaze look cheap, and the big unused border around the edge.
My only complaint about the Versaus tthat several people told me that they like my Apple watch.
