Fitbit Versa wrong steps

I’m a cashier at a local grocery store and as I’m scanning items it’s counting steps even though I’m not moving from a 3 foot radius. I saw somewhere that somebody said you could make a custom workout so that it would think you’re driving or something that doesn’t count steps but I’m lost as to how I set it up.

It is not a custom event, driving is listed when manually adding an exercise after it is over. This is done through the app.
