Fitbit added over 209,00 steps

I was just updating my workout time and my versa lite went from 6500 steps to over 209,000. I tried restarting it and restarted my phone. How do I know this is even working properly?

I was not exercising.  I was resting after having walked for 20 minutes. Approximately .86 miles.

Hi, restart your Versa three times by pressing and holding the left button untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the button. This procedure resets the Versa internally. Regards kuzibri

@SunsetRunner  Just curious.  When restarting, why do you have to do it three times?  Why doesn't doing it once work?
