Fitbit app showing different data after editing activity name

Hello, I've noticed something quite annoying of late: every time I edit the name of an activity (from the generic category "Workout" to "Body Pump", for instance), the exercise log on the phone stops showing the burnt calories and replaces that information with an amount of km/h.

I don't know where this number comes from, since Body Pump is a barbell workout and doesn't involve walking around. The app shows a number for that, none the less. But this happens only with the activities I created manually; not with the predefined ones (please see Tabata on the pic, which is showing the correct information). How can I stop this from happening and replace the km/h number with the number of calories burnt? Thank you.

Hello there @lazydaisy84, thanks for stopping by. I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for the details and screenshot provided.

Note this is the way it works when you are categorizing exercises. The information to enter will change depending on the nature of the exercise. To give you an example if you change a workout to Run, it wont remove the calories but will add distance and this happen depending of the activity you are categorizing. Unfortunately there is not an option to change this, however your calories still be counted for your daily totals.

However, you can submit your suggestions in our "Feature Request" board and people can vote for it. The more votes it gets, the more chances it will get to be implemented. I was digging into this board and I found this suggestion "Show calories instead of pace for custom activity", which is very similar of what you're asking for. Remember that you can vote for this one.

Let me know if you have any questions present.
