Fitbit calories too high

I workout daily and work on my feet all day as a bartender. Fitbit says I hit 22,000 steps on average and about 6,000 calories, which seems near impossible after some research.

Don't forget Fitbit includes your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) calorie burn which usually accounts for more that half of daily calorie burn.  Also check weight is entered correctly.

From How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

Hi Wheeler. Something similar started happening to me on Sunday morning. When I synced my watch with my iphone, the app registered only half the calories that I had spent that morning (then it adjusted the watch to read the same). I deleted and re-installed the app twice off my phone and I even ran out and bought a new Verse 3 thinking that was the problem. Nothing has helped so far. I have an iPhone13. What do you have? I'm thinking that if the phone was automatically updated on Saturday night maybe that's effecting the syncing. I'm still working on the problem because it hasn't changed. I'm going to try to run the watch all day today without the app on the phone and see how the watch does independently.
