Fitbit overheated while wearing it asleep

I just woke up and felt like my wrist was burning where my fitbit sits. I look down and the light is red. I hurried up and got it off. The watch face still lit up but then I went to power down the watch and it said it was at 0%. It then turned back on, was gaining percentage back, then dropped to zero again. This is the first problem I've had with the watch and I've had it over a year. P
