Fitbit versa swimming problems

I bought the Fitbit versa to track my laps while I swim and so far it has not been able to do that successfully on any of my swims. The first time I used it I used the app My Swim Pro and it quit out of the app in the middle of my swim. The next time I used the pre downloaded swimming tracker on the Fitbit and it glitched and thought I had pressed a button that I had not pressed. The swimming app closed out and my swim was not tracked. After that swim one of the buttons completely stopped working. I exchanged that Fitbit for a new one and when I used the new one on my swim today it returned to the home screen in the middle of my swim and nothing was recorded. Overall I am very unhappy with this product for swimming and I wish I had bought a different smart watch instead.

I use mine regularly for swimming and it is pretty well flawless. I used to use smart track to capture the swim but have swapped to starting it with the button in the exercise app. Perhaps try restarting your Versa and try it next time you swim. There was one occasion wnen it closed down in the middle of the swim - I assumed water on the screen accidently accivated the end, but I dont know. It only happened once. Let us know how you go

Mone has closed down twice mid swim workout.  And i couldnt time myself it switched itself.from stopwatch to timer
