I am a Versa 3 user in China. The GPS always has a large offset (the local map provider is 高德). I suppose this is a specific problem for users in China? Restrictions on geographic data in China - Wikipedia
This is quite annoying, could you pls commit a fix?

Hello @gene.q I'm not sure what China is doing, is it something that Fitbit will be able to fix? You may want to add this suggestion to the Feature requests.
Maybe one of your fellow fitbit users in the community have found a work around

@gene.q Here is another article that explains the GPS offset in China. I found another thread where a user asked if Baidu could be used instead of Google maps. A moderator said that it wasn't possible. This seems to be an issue with the Chinese government. I don't think a feature suggestion will help.

@LZeeW , thanks for the comments!
Another info: Fitbit uses AMAP (高德)maps (a major map provider in China), I think there should be a simple API to fix the offset (think about another thousand third-party users). Anyway, I am not a developer, not know the details.
I can confirm Google maps fixed their offset problem in China (at least since last year).

Having the same issue with my charge 5, its well known that China requires a map offset from standard GPS data (i believe that is a national security requirement) that is then corrected for using software (defeats the point of the offset, but I wont try and understand that).
Whats interesting is that when you import the run data to strava, it shows the correct location, its only wrong on the fitbit app.
This should be really easy to fix just not sure enough people will complain about it (seeing as fitbit has pulled out of china, cheers google), so for anyone else stuck with this issue, you might want to give strava a try, you just need link accounts and let it auto import your runs.
