I'm the new owner of a Versa. While, it look great, I think the UI need more optimization. It feel clunky and slow when navigating through the menu. Simply opening Today screen take 2-3 seconds, it's like an old laggy Android phone. I don't really care about fancy animations and graphics, I prefer a more basic interface with fast response.

ANDv1 watch face is even better for me. The text is small but you get all important metrics in one page. Also, you can choose which language to use, in the settings. It's open source, so you can get the source code and load it in FitBit Studio to change anything.

Hi, the new Today screen has a lot of possibilities and needs to collect these data before it can/will be displayed and yes that might take 2 secs. The Today screen lets you monitor max 7 activities, the more you choose, the longer it takes. I have only enabled steps and HR and my Today screen pops up almost immediately.

Same thing here, it only show HR and steps but it still take 2 seconds to load. While the GUI is fancy with animations and graphics, it's slow as hell. Even an old 2016 Garmin will show it instantly without any lag. I'm now wondering if I'm really the kind of guy for a "smartwatch". I prefer retro-style black and white screen if it allow me to see informations instantaneously.

Hi, you wrote: "I prefer retro-style black and white screen if it allow me to see informations instantaneously.". This is possible with a different Clock Face. This Clock Face is called "Minimal Style" and can be found by searching it in All Clocks. This clock shows you on top day and date, in the middle digital time and on the bottom, from left to right, HR - Steps - Battery. Pressing on steps lets you navigate to all the other stats within no time. It's highly customizabe by adjusting the colour schemes for each item seperately. Another advantage of this CF is it's size, which is only, if I'm correct, 12 kB and so very battery friendly. My Versa lasts almost 6 days on one charge since using this CF. Most of all, it's retro-style. Give it a try.

Wow, this watch face is almost perfect. It only has one big default: no way to show the date in my native language. It's still in english no matter what I try.

Hi, you're right about that. Is that a major issue for you? Nevertheless I would say, give it a try, you gonna love it. I customized it so that only day-date, time and steps are shown and nothing else. It's fast, battery friendly and no need anymore for the Today screen and that all in 12kB size.
BTW, English is also not my native language, but I do not care about it, cause the rest of this clock is amazing. Using it now for already 4 months and never had the intention anymore to look for another one.

Anyway, I may still return it and replace it with the Charge 3. The main reason is because of the clunky and laggy UI. In the Charge 3, you get a simple black and white display but, you get instant response when you launch any activities. Why does it take so long to launch the simple alarm app or the stopwatch, on the Versa? It's as if I was launching a big bulky app.
