Versa presenting issues with Sleep, Heart Rate and Notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had ongoing issues with 2 versas (yes, I bought two, hoping that it was a fluke that one didn't work)
It doesn't track sleep (supposedly I've slept 2.5 hours in the past 10 days).
I no longer get notifications to walk (yes, they are turned on, no, my phone is not on silent)
I occasionally get message notifications, but only about once a week.
My hours of 250 steps are incorrect...
My heart rate rarely registers, and when it does, it seems VERY high.

Yes, I've done all the troubleshooting, Yes, I've reset it, done the downloads, followed ALL the suggestions regarding resetting watch faces and EVERYTHING else...
Now it seems i"m past the return time (because I was waiting for a fix) so I've spent $460 on two devices that won't do what my Alta used to do perfectly.

I'm ridiculously unhappy with this product.  And yes, I guess it's my own fault for trusting when all of my other posts were met with "it's fixed, it will be fine.
But I certainly will not recommend this watch to anyone, and will be telling anyone who asks exactly what I think of it.

Hi there @Skyybluepurple, thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community and my apologies for the late response to your concerns regarding your Versa is not working properly with your notifications, heart rate and sleep.

With your hourly step goal, note that your tracker will only send you a push notification if you haven't reach your 250 steps, 10 minutes before the hour deadline. If you reach the 250 steps before the 10 minutes, your tracker will not send you any notification.

Regarding the other troubles, I'm sorry you are going through this and thank you for letting me know that you already tried all possible suggestions on your own. However, I was happy to reach out to our Support Team and they were able to confirm that they're currently working to reach a resolution with you.

I recommend following up with the last instructions they provided to you, so they can find a solution as soon as possible.

See you around and let me know how it turns out.

Perhaps this information can be shared with us all.  I am having similar problems.

Basic (disintegrated), Ultra, One, Surge (returned), Flex, Charge, Alta, Charge 2, iPhone 7 Plus, Macbook Pro, iPad Pro.

More importantly:

1) What phone do you have? Yes, this matters.

2) What firmware are you running in both Versas?

3) Could you take a picture of the gap between your wrist and the Versa's back? I have a milanese band, which allows any type of fit; maybe the stock bands are not very good and creating too much of a gap for you?

My phone is on the list of compatible devices, I'm running the most up to date firmware, and I've worn the band (testing it) everywhere from tight to slightly loose, to very loose...

The determination was that my tracker must be defective because it has intermittent issues with all of these things, and they were not corrected by the steps that should have "fixed" them.

Yesterday, I returned the second versa to the store where I bought it, as it was still within my return time frame.

Interestingly enough, tonight, for the first time in days (weeks on some of these issues), it sent the hourly notifications 2 hours in a row, it started registering my hr, which has shown as "null" for the past few days regardless of it being turned on, and me doing factory resets and trying all the trouble shooting... I can't wait to see if it accurately tracks sleep tonight.  (It tracked 2.5 hours last night - which seems somewhat random)

It's still not showing the 250 hours accomplished on my device, but they are appearing on my Versa, so... it seems like there has been some kind of breakthrough today... Fingers crossed!!!

Has anyone else's Versa started working tonight that has not been working previously?  I'm curious if there was some bug that was fixed.

The app for the phone—not the firmware on the Versa—was updated.
