Glue/plastic dissolved by sunscreen

Hello,

I noticed a terrible issue with my Fitbit Versa 2, whenever I apply sunscreen (I let it dry before putting the watch on, but it gets again released with sweat), I get a terrible rash.

I was looking at the watch and the glue/plastic, which is used to fill in the tiny gap between the black square on the bottom and the metal frame, just leaks out. I did not see anyone posting about a similar issue here. I never had the problem with Alta HR, none of my friends had this issue.

It happens only when I apply the sunscreen but I can hardly use the watch in summer without it. I want to buy the new Versa 3 but now I am worrid if I get the same issue.

For some reason, I do not have permission to upload images.

I'm not sure what is releasing with sweat @Niko.las or what is leaking out, other then sweat, soap and/or bacteria.

As for your rash sweat soap and bacteria maybe even the sunscreen may be the cause.

Hi @Niko.las  I think the forums are made where you have to post once before being able to add any images.

@Rich_Laue is right. It sounds like something in the sunscreen and sweat is causing the rash. The one time I got a bad rash was when my wrist was wet and I put an unclean Flex on it. Once I made sure to clean the Flex and dry my wrist before putting it on, the problem stopped. You may need to put a sport band under the Versa 2 to keep the rash from starting or when wearing sunscreen, pop the Fitbit in a pocket.
