How Do I Turn Off Green Sensor (HRM is turned off)

Hi, Even though I shut off my heart rate monitor on my new Versa 2, I'm still getting a green pulsating light when I wear it. My Blaze did not do this & I don't want it pulsating on my wrist. I turned off my Blaze because over time it was leaving red marks...very scary!

Unfortunately, with the more recent models you can't turn off the green light. They say:

 

"Note that the LEDs continue to flash if you turn off heart-rate tracking."

I suspect that they use the lights to detect whether you are wearing the fitbit or not.
