How are steps calculated on a Versa 2?

I just got my Versa 2 a couple of days ago and am still trying to figure it out. Due to my activity level I don't think my step count is accurate.  How is it calculated  and is there any way to change it? Thank you for your help!

Hi @PunknBear The same way any arm mounted tracker does - by looking at arm motions.

If the arm motions look as if the feet may be moving, steps are counted.

You say that you don't think the step count is accurate. Is the step count to high, or to low?

You mention something about your activity level, but failed to describe what you are trying to communicate about your activity?

Do you have a lot or little activity? What type of activity? Why do you feel that the count is wrong?

Sorry but we are not looking over your shoulder.

Thank you for the info. I have never used any kind of step counter before
so I am new to all of this. I was thinking the amount of steps are kinda
high because I am not very active sue to recovering from a femur
lengthening surgery a few months ago. I guess I just didn't realize how
much walking I really do.
