How deep am I diving?

I am wondering if there is an app or a way to know how many feet/meters I am diving to! Does this exist? Is it possible for smart watches like the Versa to know how deep we are swimming?

No. There is a barometer but nothing to tell depth in water.

Have you use your Versa for scuba diving? How deep have you been?

Get a scuba diving watch ,it indicates how deep u dive ,  it is more suitable cause it is design to suit the purpose . Fitbit is not diving watch .

Just did a dive trip using my Versa as a secondary dive watch.

Deepest dive - - 142 ft (Blue Hole Belize)

No problem with the Versa.

Now THAT is an excellent idea! I love it. Problem is that the range of the barometric pressure sensor is simply not large enough. I don't know exactly which sensor is inside the tracker, but as a reference I looked at the Bosch bmp280 https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/bst/products/all_products/bmp280  which has a max pressure of 1100hPa = 1.1*10^5 Pa = 0.11Bar = 1.1m of water.... So .... Bummer.

Effectively, one needs a dedicated underwater pressure sensor to make this possible, like those found in diving watches. As Fitbit is already lagging behind competition on swimming applications, I suspect diving applications and sensor hardware are even further off from the radar. But the idea is good!

Guys, if you are Realy diving -get a real diving computer and SPG as a backup.
I use my Versa just for time in case my primary computer goes Caput.

This is NOT you primary diving instrument!  Back up watch- can be.
I had it on me to 142 ft. depth dive (Blue Hole Belize)
