How do I remove he messsage “to continue using elegance please visit ..........”

There is no way to delete a message

Surely there must be a way to stop it as it is getting annoying. Is it from an app I use for the clock face??

I bet your Clock Face is called Elegance and it isn't free to use.  There was probably a free trial period and now, if you want to keep using it, you'll need to pay the fee.  You can follow the directions to pay the nominal fee or you can change your Clock Face.  It will be in the description of the Clock Face whether there is a charge for it.
