How do I track rowing machine with my Versa 3?

Are we able to lobby the Fitbit team into releasing an update with a rowing function?  I got a rowing machine last year and would love to actually record the activity with a proper profile..

Hi there, @sarajaneduffus @SunsetRunner. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums.

Please note that when a specific exercise is not available within the exercises we offer (such as Rowing), we suggest to use "Workout". Once you finish the activity, you can rename the activity to "Rowing Machine". Note that the information to enter will change depending on the nature of the exercise. To give you an example, if you change from "Workout" to "Run", it won't remove the calories but will add distance as the main stat to be displayed, this happen depending of the activity you are categorizing. However, your the data already tracked will be still counted for your daily totals.

For more information about how to do so, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Hope that helps.

Support! I never understood why the exercise options exclude rowing and paddling. I kayak and would like to be able to record that activity.

That is rubbish and no help at all. "Workout" is not the option for everything! How long has this question been answered with the same thing, look back on the string of years people who pay good money for the watch have been asking to have rowing added. You need to listen to what users are asking and make the adjustments instead of adding other things that have nothing to do with working out! I am now looking at Samsung watches because it is really is disappointing that you act as if we are all stupid. IF you can't add rowing just tell us to go elsewhere instead of using "Workout" as an escape option.

Yes! Give us rowing, WE WANT ROWING!!!

Give it to us!!!!

@Lossen probably going elsewhere is a way to go. If you look at Feature Suggestions forum, you will see that rowing has been requested in 2015 (probably earlier but this suggestion has enough votes), there are over 2000 votes and yet, it is not currently planned:

I only recently got my Versa3 and yes Rowing is needed. I suspect if enough people request Rowing stats. they'll think -Mmmm there's another money spinner, lets bring out a dedicated Fitbit for Rowers 🙄
