How do I transfer music without Windows 10?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I want to transfer my music from my Galaxy 9+ (or worst case, from my old iTunes account) onto my Versa.

My issue, I don't have Windows 10. Since I never use a laptop anymore (thanks to tablets), I never upgraded past Windows 7 (maybe it was 7) so, I cannot download the Fitbit for Windows app. I went online and did some research and I downloaded Fitbit Connect and was going to try that (guess what, it doesn't work with the Versa or at least it doesn't appear to) and once again, my Versa won't connect to my laptop (yes, I checked my WiFi; yes, I disabled the Bluetooth, yes, I followed all the instructions).

I've had my Versa for 2 days:

  • Day 1, no clock and system issues (totally understandable and I was patient and I love my new clock face).
  • Day 2, I can't transfer my music because I don't have windows 10 (because I don't need a laptop in 2018).

Is there any other way to get my music on this product? This product is causing me more stress than enjoyment and I'm ready to just return it and get a different product (I really wish Samsung would come out with a more stylish watch for women! sorry, different topic all together!). It shouldn't be this difficult to have a functioning smartwatch in this day and age and there shouldn't be this many "hiccups" at least in my opinion.

Can anyone help me?

Great to see you around @TammiDawn.

I appreciate the feedback provided about transferring music. At the moment this option is only possible through a computer, since there is no way around to use your phone. The only alternative is music control, where you will be able to control your music in your phone with your Versa.

If this is something in which you are interested, I suggest taking a look at the Ionic Music transfer from phone request, I know that this is for Ionic but in the comment you can share your ideas about implementing this for Versa too, it would be nice to have your support for these type of ideas.

Let me know if you need anything else. Robot Happy

I am having the same issues. I do own a computer and do not use it. I am not paying the upgrade for Windows 10.  Is there any possible way to transfer from your phone?

I'm pretty disappointed that the Versa only supports music transfer from Windows 10. I run 8.1 and a linux distro. My only option is to find a friend with Windows 10 that'll let me install software to transfer music to my watch.

Guess I'll still be carrying my phone around on my jogs.

From what I understand, you need to download the associated application on Windows and set wifi up on your Versa (via the Fitbit app). You'd use the Fitbit application on your desktop to transfer music to your phone over wifi, not bluetooth.

I have windows 7 home premium and can confirm that I can transfer music to my Versa using Fitbit connect for windows. It is a bit hit and miss sometimes with  recognising  my Versa ,but it definitely works. The program is        FitbitConnect-v2.0.2.7066-2018-07-25.exe

Hope this helps.
