How to work Spotify on Versa

I recently downloaded the Spotify app for the versa and I've tried to set up. I've logged into my account using the settings on the fitbit app but then on the actual versa it says that there are no active devices found and to go onto Spotify. I'm currently at a stand still as I do not know what to do from here on and going onto the Spotify app does nothing. Can you help?

II was confused by this exact issue. Turns out you have to start the music in Spotify on your phone first and then you will be able to see it on the versa. You have the ability to change songs change your playlist and adjust the volume. I haven’t played with the HR

functionality yet but now that my music is playing, I’m looking forward to trying.

Unfortunately Spotify is not supported on the Versa. You can use Deezer or Pandora.

Hello @lozza.g since there is not a spotify app for the Versa, are you asking how to control the Spotify app in the phone?

Hope in the left button.

Swipe to music

Press the 3 dots in lower left

Chose the phone

Tap the back button

You should be able to control the music player on the phone.

Not if the phone is not iOS you will need to connect the Versa Classic.

Thank you for the help @Rich_Laue I really appreciate it. I will definitely give this a try.

If you search Spotify on the apps there's Spotify HR, that's what I have on my versa

I will need to connect the Versa to investigate but the suggestion still exists.

@Rich_Laue @NellyG, I believe @lozza.g is talking about this 3rd party app. It basically shuffled the songs in your Spotify playlist according to your HR. I never used this app (Spotify is not its dev). @lozza.g I would PM the developer of this app with any questions. You can find a contact link on the app page in the Fitbit mobile app. Good luck! Please do post back here anything you learn. It may help other users of this forum. 😊

Yes, playing the songs on my phone's Spotify app enabled Spotify HR app to work on my Fitbit Versa. I am keen to play around with the Spotify HR's app and see what else I can do via my FitBit Versa.

This goes with any remote control app or hardware.

Your watch is able to control most music players, including Spotify (even without the Spotify app on the ionic), but the music app needs to be first running.

The Spotify app was written to sync the music playing with your heart rate, if you are not interested in this feature than why not simply use the music control functions on the watch.
