I can't remember the 4-digit code for my Versa 2

I have a versa 2 for which i forgot the 4 digit code. I have changed cell phone since I last used it. I can't connect to mobile app. Also performed a factory reset but no change even after that.

Hey there @hs_versa2, Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

The easiest way to get you back on track is by changing the code through your phone. Since you don't have your phone with you anymore, we'll need to perform a manual factory reset. Try these steps:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  3. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  4. Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which
indicates they initiated the factory reset.

Please let us know how it goes after you try these steps. We're here to help in any way we can.

Thanks for your answer.

There is only one button on the watch and that is on the left of it. If i keep it pressed for few seconds it goes blank and then the logo appears but the logo does not just stay there it comes and goes after few seconds. However after it is done processing it is back to where we started. Seems this action does not perform a factory reset. I have a video of this let me know how i can share it.

I'm sorry to hear that @hs_versa2

Thank you for trying the recommended steps. I understand your frustration, and I want to be honest, this is the only remaining option to get your device working.

The only solution I can offer is to continue trying the process until it's successfully completed. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but it's the only way to see if the device can still be used.

☹️Do you have a video of how these steps should be done ? Just want to make sure that i am following them properly.

@hs_versa2 starting at 2:15 this video shows factory resetting the Versa 3 and 4, but it is basically the same process for the Versa 2. I think this will give you an idea of what needs to happen with the button. Good luck!
