just going back to my Samsung Gear Fit. I can't get my versa to stay connected to the internet or to bluetooth and I have tried every single thing/idea/advice that I have been given and nothing works.  The bluetooth connects for a couple of minutes and then disappears. The Wi-Fi does the same thing. It does not matter where I am, the result is the same. On the Bluetooth screen on my Versa, there is Off, Pair, and on. The off and pair are self explanatory but what is the function of "on". If I put it to that it won't pair but it does come on sometimes by itself. I am so disappointed.

@tdlopez74 Bluetooth on Versa is always on. The one you use for notifications and sync. Classic has to be enabled for controlling music playback. If you're not using this feature, no need to turn it on. Try this to restore a proper bluetooth connectivity with your phone:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Reboot your phone. Do not pair in your phone's bluetooth settings. The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.
  3. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears
  4. Open Fitbit mobile app and sync
  5. Make sure Always Connected and All day sync are enabled in the Fitbit mobile app
  6. Make sure Fitbit mobile app is not being optimized by Android (Android Settings>Battery>Optimization).

Additional tips if sync issues persist: If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues.

@tdlopez74 You mean Bluetooth in the Settings app on your Versa? That's for connecting audio devices. It's not for syncing or notifications. Wifi is needed only for firmware update, music and downloading big apps and clockfaces (currently only fitbit labs clockfaces and fitbit coach). Personally, I removed my WIFI network from the fitbit mobile app after updating the firmware as I find it sometimes causes sync issues. Which phone model and OS do you have? Which fitbit mobile app version are you running?

I'm looking into the Samsung watches myself... I've owned 4 other fitbit devices, and the versa is the worst one. The syncing issues are insane and uncalled for, especially for how much the device cost. I understand it not syncing occasionally, that's understandable... but every single day? There's obviously an issue that is not being taken care of.

Oh. Ok. So, if the bluetooth is not connected how do I receive my notifications and stuff? It seems to be hit an miss with what I get. I am always around wi-fi, both at work and home. But that is another issue, when I connect to wi-fi it shows connected for a moment and then it just disappears?! I have a Samsung

Galaxy 9t, the OS on this current computer is Windows 10. The firmware vision is 32.33.1.30. Any further help you have for me would be greatly appreciated. I love my watch and don't want to have to switch to another.

Ok, now that makes more sense. Nobody broke it down like that before. I don't seem to be having any other problems now. Thank you for taking the time to explain it.
