Inflated Floor Count

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa3 suddenly started counting too many floors - WAY too many.  For example, in December, I averaged around 5-10 floors a day; now it's counting 50-70 a day. Trust me, I'd know if I added that many stairs to my routine.  I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling; resetting my Versa3; letting the battery die all the way down and recharging it, but nothing seems to be working.

Any ideas?

Hi @Giteacher2  - did you do a firmware update since December?

If you are really interested in how your watch pressure sensor is behaving or whether you can get a more accurate floor count, you can verify you don't have a watch problem by using the SimpleFloors app.

The App shows how your watch is affected by environmental issues such as, going room to room, upstairs/downstairs, inside to outside, changes in temperature, etc.

It is always a good idea to restart the watch - How do I restart my Fitbit device?

This App is only meant for checking purposes as it uses the battery a lot, but at least it will give you an idea if your watch is fine or if it is some other issue.

Hi Giteacher2,

@Giteacher2  - you'll be notified if there is a firmware update, so obviously there hasn't been one, or you would know.

It was necessary to know if the watch behaviour changed by itself or if something else changed for it to start miscalculating floors.
