I'm trying to figure out if I need to return my versa as faulty.
Sleep monitoring won't work whatever I do.
Audio controls for my phone won't even appear (I get a "no music loaded" screen at every turn) and trying to "connect in classic mode" just gives a "no devices found" error (the versa is already connected to my phone by Bluetooth).
The screen will not wake in auto mode (this includes every variation of tapping the screen and flailing my arm around like a marionette) except with the buttons.
Are these faults that can be repaired, or just common bugs that may be ironed out with future firmware?
Is there a different sequence of factory reset-reinitialise that might iron them out?
I bought it mainly as a sleep monitor and HR monitor with future eyes on the fitness coach, so if it can't be repaired, I'll return it to the shop as "not fit for purpose" and buy something else. But if its faulty I have to go through the service/returns process instead.

I can't help with the music aspect, as I've never downloaded music on mine, but I may be able to help with the sleep monitor. Is your heart rate monitor turned on? When you turn your Versa over, are there little green lights flashing?

The heart rate monitor works great.
I can look at graph of my heart rate through the night.
It's all very weird.

For music control on the phone @Feroluce your error message is saying that no music has been uploaded to the Versa.
To control the phones music
Let's swipe over to settings on the Versa
Swie to and Tap the Bluetooth entry
Scroll up and tap on the blue off until you see pair
Now open the phones bluetooth settings and add the Versa Classic.
The classic should now be connected and we want to start a music player on the phone and have it playing some music.
Ok we will hit the back button to get back to the clock.
Now let's go to the music control screen in the Fitbit by holding in the back button
On this screen you will see 3 dots in the lower left company, let's tap these.
The next screen will have a clock and phone icon, press the phone to set music to control music on the phone.
Tap the back button and wait a couple of seconds, you should now be able to control the re phones music.
When it comes to sleep, let's take on a sleep record in question.
Under the chart on the next page we should see the reason for the simple sleep.
When it comes to the quickview it is not a flailing but a simple and can be slow rotation of the watch.
Let's make sure quickview is enabled by holding in the back button and swiping to the quick settings.
Let's take the versa off the wrist and place on a table with the face towards you, now lift up the far end so the versa is now vertical, the watch should turn on.
I hope some of this may help.

Do you not get ANYTHING (just blank screen on your app under Sleep), or do you only get the basic sleep pattern (awake/asleep) and not the detailed sleep pattern? Please clarify. It is not uncommon to get basic patterns, this happens when the tracker can't determine your sleep state. But if you are not getting anything for any day.... that's another matter

Sorry for the delay. Health 🙄
I tried everything you suggested and nothing worked. I performed two more factory resets and then the Bluetooth procedure you suggested suddenly worked. The screen seems to be working fine now too. There must have been some lint in the firmware 😊
I still can't get the sleep monitoring to work at all.
This is my sleep screen -
It must recognise on some level that I'm asleep because it doesn't prompt me with the "xxx steps left this hour" alert that it gives me every hour I'm awake.

I get nothing at all. A blank "No measurements" screen.
Heartrate records through the night and it pauses the "xxx steps left this hour" prompts while I'm asleep, so it's recognising something, just not triggering sleep recording.
