@SunsetRunner you where simply pointing out the list of supported devices. @Julesze was posting from experience which has more weight .than saying fitbitFsays it does. 

I would answered by asking @Leosgrandma to do a search of the comunity with the term "Note 9" this should have been done before asking .A search would being out any complications users have had.
