Sorry for posting a bunch of questions but I ordered a screen protector from IQ Shield and when I received it there was a little notch on the side. After looking at some Amazon reviews I realized I'm not the only one confused. Is there a sensor? And what's it for? Brightness?you even see my fingerprint

I don't have one to check but it is most likely the Ambient Light Sensor.

There is a sensor on the right side of the screen, it's very hard to see if you don't have the right kind of light. It adjust the brightness of the screen when it's set to auto.

Sarah, see your post about pictures, one of which clearly shows the Ambient Light Sensor mid-way between the two buttons on the right side of the screen.

Did you end up keeping it? I'm shopping for a screen protector and am not sure about getting it with or without the notch.

@steveb944 I kept it because I don't want to screen protector messing up my sensor. I think the notch is helpful:)
