Lock screen ability

Hello Fitbit community! This is a cry for help to the developers team really😁 i'm extremely happy with my fitbit versa to start with but there is a problem i believe most of people can relate to. I wear my clock on my left hand so when i start the stopwatch the "start" and "pause" buttons point to the right side towards my wrist "green ring on the pic). Now when i work out with weights the wrist bends and sometimes hit the "pause" button. It happenes very often that when you're in the zone you don't notice it. It sometimes happenes you don't see it before you are done and it makes your whole 1 or 2 hour workout "not counted". I personally am very obsessed with the stats to see my emprovement. So what i'm suggesting is basically a "lock screen" option on the watch. Just like on cellphones. For example you start an exercise and the time starts to run, you can press the single button on the left like 5 sec (yellow ring) to lock your screen. And press for 5 sec again to unlock it. This way it wouldn't be frustrating and irritating i believe.

Hi, good idea. I would advice you to post this question in the Feature Suggestions Board, which is specifically created for these kind of requests. Posting it there leads to faster response from the board members. When you click the link, you will see on the right side on top of the screen "Make a new Suggestion", press that and enter your post.

Hi, @Abdulla , I note that you have followed @SunsetRunner 's suggestion of creating a new feature request.  

However, rather than creating a new request, it is usually a good idea to check whether there is an existing request already, and add your vote to it.  Not only that avoid duplicates, it also avoids splitting the vote.

In this case there was already a request for this feature on the Ionic, with 239 votes already.  Since the Ionic and the Versa share the same OS (the only real difference being the GPS chip on the Ionic) you might want to vote for this feature and comment that you would like to see it also implemented on the Versa (which would likely be the case in any event).

The existing feature request for a lock screen/ button can be found here.  

I would recommend voting for it and adding your comment, even though your new feature is there.  There is a similar one for the Charge 3 (just search on lock screen and you should find it), and just for good measure you might want to vote for that one too.

In the meantime (and I know this is not a very satisfactory solution) you might want to switch your Versa to your right hand, just while you are working out in the gym.  I wear mine on my right hand -- I have other button annoyances, inevitably, but I do not have the problem you mention.  (I am only suggesting this because I know how frustrating it can be if you really care about your stats...!)
