Versa Battery Issue

My Versa is one week old.  Battery lasts only 10 hours.  Is it defective?  Should I return it while I can?

Hi, @BruinSuz, that sounds very unusual.  In the first place I would suggest giving your Versa a restart.  Restarting can shut down any background activities that may be causing unexpected battery drain.

Next I would make sure that your Versa is actually getting a full charge to start with.  Remember that in most cases a computer USB port will not deliver charge unless the computer is awake and active, and also that it will deliver charge much more slowly than a wall charger.

It is fine to use a wall charger, as long as it is UL/ CE certified.  While it is plugged in and charging you can tap the face to see the state of charge.  Be sure that it gets all the way to 100%.  Once it is at 100%, make a note of the time you begin wearing it and how long it lasts.  This information will be helpful if you do need to return it.

As your Versa is brand new, there should not be an issue of unclean battery contacts, but just to be sure you might want to have a look at this advice on cleaning the battery contacts.
