Logging Workout

I just recently got my Versa 2. Yesterday, when I went to CrossFit, after the workout I got a notification that Versa recognized and logged my workout. Today, despite it being a more vigorous workout, I did not get a notification and it doesn’t look like it logged it. Although I am seeing more calories and an elevated heart rate during that time.

I did see the option to enter the workout (see pic). If I enter it this way and log the time (5:00-6:00 PM) does it just take the calories burnt and heart rate during said time and assign it to a Crossfit workout? Or will this instead manually add on the exercise to my metrics?

Moving forward - do I need to manually start this workout? I did it this morning when I took a yoga class. Is it possible it didn’t pick up the Crossfit workout because it would have been the second of the day? If I do need to manually track these, what’s the best option for Crossfit (unlike yoga, Crossfit isn’t an option)

Thank you!

Hi, @CaitAug! Unfortunately, in my experience, the only way to guarantee that something is tracked as a workout is to manually track it from the watch. If you track it as "workout," you can rename it after the fact if you want it to be more specific. However, two things are of note. First, to the best of my knowledge, nothing changes with tracking vs not tracking, except if you're looking to get credit for exercise days. There isn't a difference in calorie burn, since it's just using your heart rate either way. Second, if you track after the fact from the app, you'll get a much less accurate measurement, since it will overwrite your actual calories, etc for that time with an estimate based on the type of exercise you choose.
