Logging weight on Fitbit syncs wrong value to app

After a support call to Fitbit, I did a factory reset to fix a problem where weight and water logged on the device wasn't syncing to my Fitbit phone app (Android version).

This seems to fix the problem, and both synced ok (most of the time)

But now I've found that when I enter my weight on the device as kg, it shows it as logged on the device (in kg) but when it syncs to my phone app, it takes the value (kg) and converts it to approximately half the value. It looks like it takes the kg figure, sees the number as lbs, and then converts that number to kg!

I'm sorry to hear that your weight log is not working correctly. Thank you for letting us know that you've resolved the issue with the weight and water logged not syncing to the Fitbit app.

I never heard any more about the issue where I enter my weight first thing in the morning directly on my Versa ( not 2 or lite).

Weight is entered as kg ( usually about 86.5kg)

When it syncs to my app on phone (android 10 Motorola hyper one) and to the dashboard on Fitbit web, it usually syncs ok, but occasionally it will take the weight value and sync it across as though the device was recording it in pounds. So it converts 86.5kg  to 39kg. This looks like it's taking the kg value on watch, thinks I am entering in pounds, and converting to kg on the watch! So overnight I can lose abut 490kg😂

Mostly it records ok, but once in a while it does this weird conversion

This doesn't happen often, but it happened today at 07:00 UK time

Checking on fitbit.com it shows the same result.

Is there anything in my sync logs that shows what the problem is here?

Also, I've noticed that when my device and phone sync, the weight value isn't sometimes synced at all, although other items such as step count are.

This was my original issue, and still continues sometimes. When this happens, I noticed that if I enter the weight on the watch again, it immediately syncs the weight to the phone.

My Versa has just applied the recent firmware update (this week) the weird weight conversion happened before the update and is still happening now.

Any comment?
