Messenger Notification Stuck

I have had my Fitbit Versa for about ten days, and it has been fine for the most part. I received a Facebook Messenger notification a few days ago from a friend, and I can't seem to clear that specific notification from my Versa screen even though it has been long cleared from my phone. I'm not even sure how to search the forums for this, but I have a Moto G5 Plus, and I haven't really had any problems syncing notifications.

Hi,

Inwas having a similar problem. I had 3 WhatsApp notifications just sitting in my notification bank on the Fitbit and hitting clear wasnt working.

So I held all 3 buttons in on my versa until the Fitbit logo came up and when it rebooted the notifications were gone but all my data etc. was still present and working.

Hope that helps!

I was having the same problem with my versa and a text notification from my Moto Z2 Play, this solution also worked for me.

Thanks!

I have a text notification stuck on my versa.  I tried holding down all three buttons on my device, but only the clock appeared.  Is there another way to fix this issue?

You have to hold the buttons down until the FitBit logo appears, this takes
several seconds, try counting to ten while you do it. It feels like a long
time.

Think you need to hold the buttons a little longer, clock with disappear, screen will go black for a bit, then Fitbit logo appears and you can let go. Watch restarted and the stuck message was cleared!

i’m not getting the fitbit logo up, is that normal?

It is actually the left and the right bottom buttons you need to hold for a hard reboot, not all three, Hold until the fitbit logo comes up

While I appreciate that there is a workaround to this issue, it's still an existing issue so this is a bug in the watch's firmware that Fitbit should be looking into. Now how do we make sure they know that they need to fix this?

Agreed! I've had this issue happen on 3 separate occasions. I don't like that I have to reset my watch every time these notifications won't clear.

Hello @CWiles822 and @Tranise334 have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I'm very glad the Notifications were cleared after you restarted your Fitbit Versa. Our team is aware of this situation as you can see by the pinned post in the Versa board and while they're working on a solution the best way to remove these Notifications is to restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.

Thanks again for letting us know your issue has now been resolved, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.
