“My husband and I both have fitbit versas. We started our workout at the same time, and it showed he went about a half mile further than I did. How do we know which mileage is accurate? Why the difference in mileage?”

Mileage is based on your step length, which is only an estimate as you step length varies when you walk, especially if you are on uneven ground. Also one or both of your step lengths may be wrong - they are based on average people of your height, so for real accuracy you need to measure your own step length and enter that.

Mileage is based on your step length, which is only an estimate as you step length varies when you walk, especially if you are on uneven ground. Also one or both of your step lengths may be wrong - they are based on average people of your height, so for real accuracy you need to measure your own step length and enter that.
