Mobile Steps Aren't Counted on FitBit app

I have a Fitbit Versa 2, since the new update, it doesn't count my mobile steps. For example if I forget to put my watch on and go for a walk and take my phone with me, I've done 5k steps. Previously these would be counted on my Fitbit and now they aren't. Tried syncing my phone and looking through the settings but I'm unsure how t get this back,
