I’m on my second Fitbit versa now after upgrading from the charge 2. I find the sensor doesn’t pick up my heart rate correctly and some times at all. I’ve tried all postitions on my wrist and restarting it multiple times. It doesn’t track my sleeping either I’m assuming to this issue. Does anyone know how to fix it or should I just go the Apple Watch?

Hi there..I bought my first Versa in June 2018, and then in Sept 2018, it did not monitor my hb correctly. It was showing heart beats as high as 200 beat per minute, then registering active minutes when I was just sitting. I went through all the laborious steps they make you go through on the chat - and finally, took it back to Best Buy and replaced under bb warranty, and that was in Sept 2018..Then, just yesterday, it started acting up again..Again, had to go through all the same things, but this time, since Best Buy did not offer warranty protection when I replaced in Sept, i knew that was not an options. But Fit bit is sending me a new Versa. Today, when I was on my way to church, it totally stopped working. I have emailed mgt and am not happy at all..My first Fit Bit - Fit Bit ChargeHR and had it replaced literally 3 times in 12 months!!! Unbelievable...

Hi, I would suggest two possibilities to solve your problem(s), besides cleaning the back side of your watch:
1. Reboot your Versa at least twice by pressing and holding the left and right lower nuttons together untill the Fitbit logo appears and release the buttons. If that does not solve your problem:
2. Go to your phone, switch off BT and deinstall your Fitbit app.
3. Restart your phone
4. Reinstall Fitbit again and turn on BT again
5. Sync Fitbit with your Versa and see if it's working like it should.
Good luck!!

how did the C2 do for monitoring your HR? the technology is the same or better in the versa so if you had no trouble with the C2, I would think the versa would work even better... I would try cleaning the versa at least once per day following the care instructions, restarting it and making sure it is not too tight on your wrist. I have to say, I did not realize how important it is not to have it too tight to get an accurate reading until this past weekend. I was running all out and my HR reading was 142. I kept at it for 25 minutes before I realized it felt tight. As soon as I loosened it, my HR reading went to 170 which is what it should be for the pace I was keeping. Considering I work out to calories not steps.. I was not happy. Let us know how things go if you implement any of the suggestions offered.

My charge 2 was great with monitoring my heart rate, so I did assume the versa would be better. I’ve tried cleaning it, resetting and wearing it loosely and in all differ positions. I don’t want to be constantly looking at my wrist to see if it is tracking my heart rate or not. Plus my charge 2 was great for monitoring my sleep and so far the versa hasn’t been able to do that.

I’m on my second versa now and I don’t think I’ll be looking to get another one. With my charge 2 I didn’t have to worry about having to constantly check it to make sure it was working correctly
