So I bought a Fitbit Versa back in the Spring 2018 when it first was available for around $200...worked for about 5 months then went dead, all black, no nothing...Fitbit Customer Service was very helpful in Chat and ended up replacing my Versa (even without a receipt)....BUT they wanted my old, dead Versa first before the sent the replacement...long story short, I waited about 2-3 weeks before receiving the replacement...WITH NO BAND...so I had to buy a new one of those (ended up buying a knock-off on Amazon b/c is was half the price Best Buy wanted...grrr). The replacement Versa worked okay but wouldn't sync unless I turned off my bluetooth, turned it back on, manually synced....this occurred daily for about a month...grrr. Then all of a sudden the heart rate sensor stopped working, which therefore made the 'active minutes' and sleep functions obsolete.

@DiscoBillyC The first thing to try is toggling HR sensor on your Versa ON/OFF with Versa reboot in-between. You can reboot Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes. If this doesn't work, try turning off Versa for a few hours and turning it back on.
