Netball + Versa

Afternoon everyone 🙂

I play netball every week (competitively) and we're NOT allowed to wear jewellery of any sort anywhere on the limbs!

i currently wear the Flex which is easy to pop out and hide in my bra (nope that never gets checked !!!)

I'd like to treat myself to the Versa and was wondering if it possible to detach from the straps - REGULARLY - and hide in bra ???

is it too big (the versa not my bra!)

what's your thoughts.....

It will fit as long as it doesn't fall out or show a bump that is visable

Hi @Wiccab and welcome to the forums! I would not recommend using the Versa that way. It would be a bit big to hide in a bra. But the main thing is that the mechanism to connect/disconnect bands is different from the rest. I find it easy to disconnect but difficult to re-connect. Fitbit has a nice Help Page that describes how to connect a band. It even has a video.

But that said, you could still treat yourself to the Versa. Just do what I do while maintaining two devices on one account. Let’s begin with the Versa on your wrist.

  1. Sync the Versa to your account, then take it off and place it in another room.
  2. Place the Flex where you want it on your person, then sync it.
  3. When you are done with the Flex, sync it and place it in a different room (than the Versa)
  4. Sync the Versa.

This should keep everything in sync. It works for me. It’s really not as much work as it seems.

Hi Carol-B

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have seen a Versa on display but obviously not able to try it in my bra, might shock the sales guy!!!

I have tried running 2 devices at the same time unfortunately came unstuck (several times) when my Charge HR failed for a whole 2 weeks and i lost ALL data - and on a big week !!!

so i'm now back to just the Flex but am missing a watch for the time  ( i do have a special watch i wear on special occasions)

i might try it again - but still want a Versa

do you have the normal Versa or Special Edition - i want it for the NFC and am hoping that FitPay eventually get on board some normal high street banks (like Barclays or LLoyds) - i'm not changing banks just for that

Get the Versa, you'll like it.

Then pick up a 2nd hand Alta HR or something else to wear during Netball.

You can switch between the two, and always have the 2nd one charged and waiting for action, just as @SunsetRunner  says. It actually works pretty well for me.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Hi WavyDavey

i'll keep the Flex as that's a nice little bullet to hide in the bra - in the hope that if i do get the Versa i can run both successfully.

Now have to find a decent offer on the Versa!

thanks guys & dolls

Hello again, @Wiccab I have the regular Versa, not the special edition. One thing you can do is to contact your bank. Talk to Customer Service and explain to them why they need to work with Fitbit. The message is best coming from both sides.
