New versa 2, microphone not working

I bought a brand new versa 2 this past weekend. Everything works fine except the microphone. I have rebooted the phone and watch, made sure everything was up to date, and checked that the microphone was enabled and all the language settjng were correct. I had an original versa that lasted me about 18months before its screen went out. I replaced it with the 2 because I wanted to voice text reply feature. It is frustrating that this function does not work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @Sbgerhart when is the mic not working. For Alexa or responding to texts. 

Do you see some type of response on the screen while talking? 

Do you get any error messages?
