No Heart Rate when Tracking Outdoor Exercise from App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I first got my Fitbit Versa and the app, I was able to start an outdoor exercise (run/bike) through the Fitbit app and after my exercise I'd get a map of my course, a graph of my heart rate and a projected calorie burn based on HR data.

Lately though, only the map of my course shows up in my exercise log if I start the exercise in the app. If I start the exercise from my watch (weights, usually) I get the HR graph.

For me, starting the exercise through the IOS app is preferable because I want the app to play my Apple Music playlists and give me voice cues in my headset.

Any ideas on how to ensure I'm getting the GPS data from the app and the HR data from my Versa in the same exercise session?

Thanks,

Jason

Hello and welcome @JungleGymJam

My understanding is that if your doing an auto recognized exercise your Fitbit tracker will indeed display both your heart rate as well as your gps map graphed together. If the exercise was manually imputed you will only see the gps map. (Although you can then refer to your heart rate tile and see your heart rate during this same time period)

Because your wanting to begin your exercise (either though manually input or auto recognized) through your Fitbit Versa I think your question will be better suited for the Versa Forum instead of the iOS Forum which it appears now. I’m going to move your post to the Vera Forum so that you get more relevant answers to your question.

Hello again @JungleGymJam

I failed to mention this but do make sure your Fitbit, device as well as your Fitbit app are all currently updated.

Thanks @SunsetRunner for steering my question to the best place to have it addressed. I believe my Versa is on the latest version, but will check into it.
