Not getting texts on versa

Hi 

after updating my versa I am now not getting all notifications, 

texts are there when I look, if my phone was locked, but fitbit is not buzzing to notify me of a text message!!! 
Other than for a step counter the texts & calls were the main reason I got a fit bit as I couldn’t warrant spending the Apple Watch price tag!!! Think I might be better off with an Apple!!! 
yes I have tried all the solutions possible that are on here or what I’ve found online, still doesn’t buzz for texts!!! Very annoying & will not be upgrading to versa 2 as I originally planned!!

Argh! I'm having the same issue and it's driving me mental! I can't figure out what's going on. When I get a call on my phone, my versa buzzes and I can answer it from my watch but messages aren't coming through at all - nothing! I've unpaired bluetooth, deleted app, shut down, restarted, checked notifications are set to send - I've followed every self help suggestions out there but the messages (iphone and Whatsapp) are no where to be seen!! HELP FITBIT!!!

Yep that’s exactly the same as mine!!! Very annoying, I rely on my versa for messages so I don’t have to carry phone around !!! I’ve done all what you have, calls yes but all others no!!

Did you already un-installed the app, rebooted your phone and re-installed the app? Maybe it works? It worked for me..

I’m having the exact same problem. I have rebooted, restarted it, factory reset and Ever other suggestion. Nothing has worked. Now my phone is saying it can’t find my versa. My versus says it’s 5:30 AM and my phone says it’s 5:46 AM can somebody please help???

Ok so I did a factory reset on my versa, set it back up to my fitbit app/account & it is now buzzing when I receive texts. 😁😁😁 yey! Although you shouldn’t have to factory reset it after an update 😤 sort it out FitBit.com 

I can see now my app says there is a new update but I have cancelled it, I am not updating again! It’s fine as it is, how I want it!!! 

so try factory reset!!! It worked for me after over 2 weeks of trying everything else possible!!!!

I’m glad it worked for you. NOTHING has worked for me. It hasn’t been working for over a month. I give up on Fitbit. I will be purchasing a Apple Watch for my Christmas gift to myself.

That’s a shame, I was about to give up on mine too but hopefully it’s back to normal now, I’m not updating again!!!

Ok - I'm going to give this a whirl. Does the factory reset remove all your history from your app?!

It hasn’t on my app! All this weeks data is still there! I just had to set it up like a new one, WiFi etc & change my clock back to what I had before!

How do you factory reset?  From app or watch?

It didn’t remove any history but it didn’t record my activity while I was restoring it.

I was having the same issue with my iPhone and my new Versa 2! 

I called support and now it works!! Follow this:

 

1. In your phone settings go to Bluetooth>Click on the i beside your Versa 2> make sure ‘Share System Notifications’ is on 

 

2. Go to Notifications on your iPhone settings> click on ‘phone’ and make sure under ‘show previews’ it says ‘always’ or ‘when unlocked’, also make sure all the notification options are on

 

3. Go to Notifications again on your IPhone settings> click on ‘messages’ and make sure under ‘show previews’ it says ‘always’ or ‘when unlocked’ (mine said never and this was my issue) again also make sure all the notification options are clicked on (banners, lock screen, Notification Center)

 

 

4. Reset your Versa by holding down the button until you see the logo appear. When it turns back on you should be good to go! 

I spent 2 hours reading FAQs and twiddling with this and all that was missing was one field. Hopefully this is helpful and works for you!

exact same issues!! no notifications, no messages, its always 41 degrees out, watch does not show time when I lift by wrist.  I have reset the Fitbit numerous times.  frustrated!! this versa is my 3rd fit bit.  will never buy another Fitbit again. could have invested in an Apple Watch by now.  worst investment ever!

I just factory reset and deleted app and still same thing. This is my second different model. I had to send my blaze back after a month because it just stopped working. Done with Fitbit too

I did all the above on mine but still didn’t work, had to factory reset to get texts back!! Shouldn’t have to do that!! 
plus I don’t want my texts notifications on ‘always’ especially when it’s near Xmas & children about!!!!!! Fit bit need to up there game & sort it else they will lose custom, I know a lot of people that have already given up on theirs & gone for Garmin or Apple!!!
