The fit bit isn’t showing that I’ve done any steps, have a heart rate or had any active exercise whilst I’m exercising and moving plenty and wearing it. just started doing this last night and not had a drama the previous 5-6 months

Hi, try to do a factory reset: press and hold all three buttons untill Fitbit logo flashes or, if that's not the case, press and hold the buttons for about 15 secs and then release the right lower button. When you feel a strong vibration release the other buttons. If this does not work, repeat the entire procedure. Hope this will solve your problem.

I had a similar issue. Turned out it was the Clock Face app that was not responding. I reloaded the clock face and the data is now displayed. I didn't loose any data.

By performing a factory reset, you also do not loose data, only, when it works, the problem will be solved. Which clock face were you using at that time, seems to me that this is relevant information for the original poster of this problem.
