I have Huawei p20 phone and I bought versa 2 in december 2020. Every day my app says that "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notification on your tracker". Nothing helps but to dowload app again. I have tried to restart my phone, restart versa, restart bluetooth, no updates helps... It is really annoying to do that everyday and sometimes twice a day. My phone is not broken. It is not fun to pay lot of money of versa and it is not working properly. What is the problem? Is It the only way to return my versa?

Try the following
In Android phone Settings Apps Fitbit Storage - clear cache [not data] Force Fitbit shutdown [though it doesn't seem to fully go away] Open Fitbit App |

OK that works but my watch doesn't vibrate with the notification. Do I have to clear cache every day?

@cmac1148Hopefully not
Okay, your situation may be different, lets check
Is your phone a Huawei p20 and your watch a Versa Lite?
What Fitbit App version do you have?
In the phone Fitbit App Click on profile photo [top left] Help & Support App Version at the top |
What watch version do you have?

Thanks for the feedback, you are all up to date which is a good place to start.
Is the watch saying download the app?
In which case is it syncing, probably not?
What caused this message to appear on the watch. Was it the result of some troubleshooting you did?
At some point did you factory reset the watch? This isn't normally necessary but for recovery its necessary to know how you arrived at the point you have.

You might try this to resolve the drop in communications between watch and phone
On the phone check battery optimizations [the options may be different in your version]
|
It may resolve it definitively.
But if you uninstall the app remember to do it again.

Any idea why the watch doesn't vibrate? Vibrate is on.
