Why is there no option to enable the screen to wake up the screen. Every smart watch I have owned has this feature. It is very annoying to receive a notification, look at my watch and stare at a blank screen. I shouldn't be forced to flick my wrist a certain way to be able to view my notifications.

@BrassYeti For info, the Apple Watch screen doesn’t come on when a notification is received unless you move your wrist, so it’s no different. However I believe this has been requested before for the Ionic so you might want to head over to the Feature Suggestion section and add your voice here Just be sure to check for other similar threads.

I agree and secondly the wrist waking is not sensitive enough for me and it rarely wakes. It would be nice to have an option for notifications to wake the screen

Completely agree! Though it would come at the expense of battery life, I'd at least prefer to have the option. The lack of auto-display of notification is generally inconvenient, but even more so during work (in meetings, etc). Where having to flip my wrist or push a button is much too obvious vs. being able to subtly glance down at my wrist!

I would definitely like the option and decide myself when to have that on or off according to battery etc.
