Nothing but problems with notifications since day one. After days of following every piece of advice and instructions, it finally started working. Then the update came. Nothing since then. Tried different messaging apps as the default in addition to all the other rigmarole we've had to try for the past month. So tired of trying to coax this $200 alleged state-of-the-art device into doing what I paid for. Should be giving out fifty percent refunds since it's only doing half the things it's supposed to.

Hello there @WoodieHouse, thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the notifications. I'm sorry for the late response and for all the ordeal with the notifictions you have mentioned.
Including myself, I have seen some users mentioning after the update, is required to re-authorized the notification and enable again the apps you have previously selected to received notifications. It seems after the update, some setting returned to the factory form in the Fitbit app.
Something that might give you an extra help is the following help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.
If by any chance you are using an Android phone, don't forget to review if the Fitbit app is updated to the most recent version. Recently was release another version that might improve the stability of the app and its functionalities.
See you later and hope this get you back on track.

The re-authorization has been done a couple times. The screen requesting it pops up randomly. I am using the most recent version of the software. The notification settings have been turned on. All of these things have been done ad nauseum. This includes everything mentioned in the article you mentioned. It's just more excuses for inadequate technology. If I was expecting it to things it wasn't designed to do, that would be one thing. But the reality is, Versa is not doing what it was specifically advertised to do and thousands of us are grossly dissatisfied.

I have been going through the exact same thing as you, notifications stopped working and everything I've done has been pointless and time consuming. I'm done with my Versa and will be going back to my charge hr2. This was not worth the money spent on it!
